Vusal Etibar oglu Sharifov was born on February 24, 1979 in the village of Gahramanli, Beylagan region.
After graduating from high school in the same city, Sharifov graduated from the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports. Continuing his second education at the Faculty of International Economic Relations of the Azerbaijan State Economic University, Sharifov received an MBA in Strategic Management from Montreux Business School in Switzerland.
He began his professional career in 1998-2002 as a wholesale store manager. In 2002-2004, he was the sales manager and Director of Sales Department in Veyseloglu Group of Companies, in 2004-2015 - the commercial director of the Ulduz chocolate factory, in 2008-2015 - the chairman of the board, in 2015 - 2018 he worked in the Araz-Spar markets as a commercial director and chairman of the board, and in 2016-2018 - director for strategic business development of "OBA Market" LLC. Since March 2020, he has been the Chairman of the Management Board of "OBA Market" LLC, and since 2018 he has been a member of the Supervisory Board of the Veyseloglu Group of Companies.
He pays particular attention to the creation of new technologies and structures in the enterprises that he manages. Examples include the construction of new production lines at the Ulduz chocolate factory, the creation of VG, the Khoncha factory, private labels Araz and "OBA" supermarkets and SAP ERP projects. He has a total of 24 years' professional experience in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods ) sector.
